Baseball...?
Yes. There have been a few switch pitchers
Greg Harris did Sept 28, 1995. He was the last guy to do this in the MLB.
I also remember hearing a story of a minor league pitcher who did this in a game.. against a switch hitter, and the two switched back and forth many times until the umpire had to intervene.
read the bottom of this page for a brief mention of the story:

Well, these days with all of exercise and weight training they do, many baseball players are strong and big ( taking away the notion that most baseball players aren't athletes ) since most baseball players are athletes anyway. They actually cut their hair to military style because having a full head of hair slows down a player some what. For a cop attitude baseball players are the only pro athletes who are allowed to police themselves whenever a fight happens and leave the dugout.
the same as we do
All broadcasters have endless information in front of them and constantly given to them during the game. So they know what pitches a pitcher throws, as well their tendencies they have to throw certain pitches in certain situations. They know between what speeds their fastball is thrown as well as the rest of a pitcher's pitches. So then by looking at the speed of the pitch, and its movement, they can deduce what pitch was just thrown. Its not quite as easy as looking at what sign the catcher is putting down, since that camera angle isn't usually the one being shown when the signs are flashed.
I would say that 60 is a reasonable guess, but it might be a little lower than that. I used to play as a kid but i don't play much anymore and I was clocked in the low 60's last summer at a fan day thing. Of the 4 people I knew that were clocked i think the highest ws 67 with average being a little under 60.
its been a long time since i played dart baseball...you just throw the dart and you score it as what the dart hit..

Rawlings has been the official ball of MLB since 1977, when they took over from Spalding.
The current balls look like this:

My favorite is when the baseball season is on and I get to see and keep up on the games. My least favorite is when the season is over and lost as what to do with myself.
try rolling the ball off of your middle finger [i assume you throw with 2 fingers]. this will help guide the ball more, and keep it in line.
good luck!
It can't be more than 2 GS. I'll say the Yankees in the 50's

those are single player but I doubt it has ever happened 3 times in a game
Get people to stop taking steroids.
If you have complete sets, definitely sell them as sets. If you break them up, you will never sell each individual card. EBAY is probably the website that you will get the most money for them, but it will be a lot of work to list them all, package and ship them. Definitely make sure you research the worth of the card before you start the auction. Also the condition of which the cards are in, play a major role in how much you will get for them.
As a huge baseball fan and a collector of cards for years, I'm excited just thinking about what you may have. Can I have a peak? :)
Enjoy.
id say about 11 and a half inches would be good for you. for a pitcher you dont need a large glove, just something to catch the ball when the catcher throws it back to you.
for a bat id say get a 32 inch bat that weighs 29 ounces, should be a good sized bat for someone who is just starting. if you are stronger then go for a 33 inch bat that weighs 30 ounces.
rubbing alcohol usually takes off ink, don't know what it will do to the baseball.
IMHO here is my list. I think almost every player is missing one or two of these, but you won't find a major leaguer with less than 80% of these attributes:
!. Strong ego- a devine belief in yourself that will persevere through any challenge, hardship, poor performance or adversity. Not to be confused with arrogant.
2a. A strong psyche- ability to think without being clouded by negative energy.
2b. Clutch- not affected negatively by external pressures.
3a. Knowledge of the game- how the pitcher will set him up, understanding of strategies, how to move runners/ where to hit the ball, opponents tendencies, etc.
3b. Team player- using knowledge of the game to his own and team's benefit
4. Develops skills and moves to next levels of development quickly
5. Retainment of skills learned/ muscle memory- through repetition and practice
6. Desire to excel through refinement of skills/ practice
7. Impeccable fast-twitch muscle skills- superior reactions/ quick feet, hands, trunk
8 Footspeed- slow-twitch excellence
9. Incredibly accurate vision
10. Luck- The help of he right person and situation to rise from level to level from t-ball to the Hall of Fame
Note- size is NOT on this list. I played at 6'5, 230, and I really think it's not essential. Also, I don't think every major leaguer has all these qualities, But if I had to say which ones are most pre-eminant, I'd say
1.) fast-twitch muscle speed
2.) vision
3.) footspeed
4.) #4)-#6
5.) #1-#3b
6.) luck
Thanks.
I looked through World Series pictures. This didn't happen in the 60s series even once. In fact, I first found it in the 90s pictures.
I hate the trend.
i like The Sporting News. there use to be one called the 9th inning it was in association w/ thehuddle.com but it's gone. all i see is sports cards when i googled it.
